STILL LIFE & OBJECT DRAWINGS
These graphite drawings were created using thousands of freehand pencil lines.
Graphite on paper 8" X 10" Available $ 1,120.00 Here we have a neatly placed collection of books sitting on a shelf. The dark background pushes the books toward you, tempting you to pick one up. Each title and the author's name have minuscule lines, as if someone embroidered the lettering. I used various sized shapes and tones to establish worn leather, ripped, and bent spines.
Graphite on paper 5" X 10" Available $ 700.00 The reference photo used to create this drawing was given to me by a friend from south Dakota. I remember back in the day going to junk yards to look for parts to fix my car and being there for hours looking at the old cars that had been there for years rusting away in fields of tall grasses and weeds. This picture brings me back to those days!
Playing With Madness
Graphite on paper 5" X 7" Sold I was addicted to video games as a kid. I spent a lot of time at the arcades, and a lot of quarters. This drawing brings me back to a time when I played my favorite game, marble madness. This picture is a close up-up of a marble.
Graphite on paper 5" X 7" Available $ 350.00 This drawing is the first still life I created. The idea to draw this subject came from a simple trip to the refrigerator. I opened the door to find a snack, and when I grabbed the bag of cherries and started to wash them, I saw them in a drawing. So, I got my camera and snapped some photos of cherries and walla; the Black Cherries artwork was made.
Graphite on paper 5" X 9" Sold The piriform is a pear-shaped muscle located at the base of our spine. Inspired by the pain, I endured caused by this muscle, I created Piriform Breakdown. This artwork symbolizes the deterioration of man. This drawing was made in 2017 and was one of the first still life works I did.
